Brightwire uses the smallest possible number of cookies, in two groups: essential cookies that keep you signed in, and — only on our public pages, and only if you agree — analytics cookies that help us understand how the site is used. We never use cookies for advertising.
Essential cookies
These keep you signed in as you move between pages. They are set by our authentication provider and are required for the service to work, so under UK and EU rules they do not need consent.
Analytics — only with your consent
On our public pages (this page, the privacy page, and the home page) we can use Google Analytics to see, in aggregate, how visitors find and use the site. This is off by default: nothing analytics-related loads until you choose Accept analytics on the cookie banner, and you can decline. Analytics is configured without advertising features or ad personalisation.
Not on the student assessment
We deliberately do not run analytics on the student portal or the assessment itself. Understanding how young people move through the assessment is done from our own records, in aggregate — that data is never sent to Google or any third party.
Managing your choice
You can change your mind by clearing this site's data in your browser, which brings the cookie banner back. Deleting the sign-in cookie will sign you out.
